Tim McGraw Falls onstage During Concert

Country music star Tim McGraw gave fans an unexpected moment during his Cincinnati concert on Aug. 27 when he lost his footing and fell backwards while performing his hit song, “I Like It, I Love It.” The incident occurred at Riverbend Music Centre during his 2026 Pawn Shop Guitar Tour.

McGraw can be seen in video captured by concertgoers stepping over a raised section of the stage before his boot appears to get caught in a gap. He falls back on his back in front of the audience.

Singer Bounces Back Quickly

McGraw was up almost immediately after the punishing spill. He sat up, smiled, got to his feet again and continued his act without a pause.

The singer even pointed to where he fell and joked with the crowd about the hole there. His quick response turned a scary moment into a lighthearted part of the concert.

Fall Spreads video goes viral

Fans snapped the moment from different angles and footage of the incident quickly made the rounds online. McGraw later posted his own video of the fall to social media, showing he was willing to laugh at himself for the mishap.

He captioned the post with a joke about getting the Cincinnati weekend started “on the right foot,” even if he could not stay on his own.

McGraw Running Late For Cincinnati Show

The fall followed an eventful start to the Cincinnati concert. McGraw arrived about 40 to 45 minutes late because of travel and weather-related issues.

Finally, when he appeared onstage, he apologised for the lateness before starting the show. He did a full performance for the crowd despite the late start and a later accident.

The Incident: Fans Worried

While many fans thought McGraw’s reaction was funny, others were concerned if he had been hurt. The singer has been open about having had multiple back surgeries and double knee replacements in the past.

But there was no immediate word that the fall in Cincinnati resulted in a serious injury. McGraw continued to perform after the incident and proceeded to the next dates of his tour.

The Show Must Go On Despite Mishap

But McGraw’s speedy recovery allowed the show to go on with little interruption. The incident became another memorable moment from his current tour, and fans praised the 59-year-old country star for keeping his composure.

His Pawn Shop Guitar Tour continues through September then a scheduled Las Vegas residency later in the year.
